Weissegger, Shirley M. (Zecher)

WEBSTER: Peacefully passed away on Monday, January 26, 2009 at age 82 after a long struggle with lung disease. Predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Weissegger. Survived by her daughters, Jan (Bob) Crum of Webster, Joan Festa of Fairport and Linda Weissegger of Brighton; grandchildren, Abigail and Scott Crum, Rob and Katy Festa and Andrew Zuber; sisters-in-law, Carol Halloran, Lorraine Schwenzer, Delores (Warren) Whitcher; brother-in-law, Donald (Pat) Weissegger. She will be missed by many special friends. Shirley and Bob lived in Webster until their retirement. Shirley retired from Xerox and then spent many happy years with Bob in the Florida Keys and North Ft. Myers, FL until Bobs death in 2001. Shirley then moved to Sun City Center, FL. They both loved summers in Sodus Point, NY. She enjoyed volunteer work with Greyhound Adoption organizations in Florida and Rochester. Most recently, she lived at Baywinde in Webster and spent her final days at Webster Comfort Care Home.

Friends may call Friday, January 30th, 3-6 PM at the funeral chapel (1031 Ridge Road, Webster). A Celebration of Shirleys life will be held on Saturday, January 31st, 11 AM at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 1130 Webster Road, Webster, NY 14580 (corner of Route 250 and State Road). A Reception will follow at the Parish Hall. Her family is most grateful for the care provided to her recently and to honor Shirleys memory, the family would appreciate gifts to the Visiting Nurse Service/Hospice, 2180 Empire Blvd., Webster, NY 14580 or to the Webster Comfort Care Home, 700 Holt Road, Webster, NY 14580.
